I decided to train as
an independent funeral celebrant because I wanted to give people the
opportunity to create an uplifting and unique ceremony that
celebrates a person's life in a way that religious services often do not.
I have worked as a
facilitator and trainer with groups and individuals for over 25 years
mostly in community and personal development. I have had the
opportunity to work with and support people with diverse backgrounds
and experiences, often during challenging times in their lives. I have always believed that whoever I am working with, my role
is to empower people to get the best out of their situation. I bring
that same passion to helping people create a personal, unique and
meaningful ceremony for their loved ones by listening with care and attention to detail, giving people
time and encouragement to talk and share and being open to ideas and
suggestions. It also means giving family and friends the opportunity
to be as involved in the ceremony as they would like to be.
I have a gentle, warm and caring nature and will calmly help you to put together your celebration. I will bring together your stories and memories, share the humorous and the sad with respect and compassion.
